David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.

The author

Best-selling children's author and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, the company has said.

A representative for the company said: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the move was reached following an investigation into reports of questionable actions directed at women.

The company has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, noting: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."

An Illustrious Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, having sold in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.

A number of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.

His bibliography includes over four dozen titles in total, which features a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.

From Screen to Page

He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE back in 2017 for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.

This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
