Homages Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones are still paying respects to the duo.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, explained he only now felt ready to express about his profound loss.

"Adequate time has passed that I can now express my sorrow into words," wrote Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner created an instant bond. "Once we started spending more time together I knew this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor uploaded archival material from the movie, adding that he cannot recall "a single day without mirth".

"This story is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Things that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the perfect person to guide it," Elwes continued.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I remember you." He concluded with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator

In a separate tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked beautifully with the cast, and he grasped the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese noted.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Sealed

In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge ruled to block the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, after an appeal from the local authorities.

A legal directive issued a security hold on the cases to restrict the public release of "all case details, evidence and photographs" associated with the probe.

The relevant authority had earlier stated their deaths were the result of murder, with a public database listing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Response and Criticism

After the tragedy, public figures shared different comments.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, offering provocative remarks that were widely condemned by several individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his criticism to the detractors recently. Speaking on his podcast, Rogan characterized the statements as "disturbing" and implied they revealed a worrisome absence of compassion.

Rogan finished by remarking that an associate could have stepped in when the choice to speak on the tragedy was made.
