Trump's Granddaughter Seeks Professional Tips from Golf Legend Woods Prior to LPGA Debut

Emerging athlete preparing for major competition

This young athlete maintains impressive social media audience

Kai Trump will have plenty of prominent supporters as she makes her professional golf debut on Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to a former US president, was granted a tournament invitation to participate at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.

Her grandfather, an avid golfer, possesses numerous golf courses and regularly competes against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we have competitive games," she revealed.

Kai explained that her grandfather, unable to come, advised her: "Just avoid anxiety."

"My grandpa practically advised me to go out there and have fun," she added.

"From my perspective, he's just an ordinary family member. He won't be there for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, so he's rather occupied."

While still amateur, the golfer has played in just three tournaments in 2024 and holds ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.

However she can receive tips from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with her mother.

"He represents the best player in the world," Kai stated.

"Furthermore, he's a superior human being. He told me to play, enjoy myself, and go with the flow."

The golfer will compete against several top competitors in the sport at the Annika, including world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

Officials stated that her participation helps introduce golf to different demographics, specifically reaching youth audiences.

The social media influencer maintains a massive following and just introduced her own clothing and lifestyle label.

The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
